Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
I Know What You Want ("the App") is a couples app operated by PRIMAIRE LLC (United States). It lets two linked partners share moods and wishlists. This policy explains what data the App handles and why.
2. What we collect
The App is designed to collect as little as possible:
- A display name you enter (any name; no email, phone number or real identity is required).
- Your theme choice (His / Hers).
- The moods you set (for example "Craving chocolate", or a wish you type yourself), when you set them and whether they came true.
- The replies you send to your partner's moods and your reactions to their replies.
- Your wishlist and your private "I'm on it" marks (section 3).
- An anonymous account identifier created by Firebase Authentication.
- A push-notification token for your device, so the App can tell you when your partner sets a mood, replies or adds a wish. Firebase Cloud Messaging keeps it together with an installation ID and basic device details (model, system version, language, time zone, app version).
- Your notification settings (Moods, Replies, Wishes), the App's build number and your device's time zone. We use them to send only the notifications you want, to word them right for older versions of the App and to deliver them quietly at night (11 pm to 8 am your time).
- When each of you last set a mood, replied or added a wish, kept with your pair so we can count how many pairs use the App each week.
3. Your wishlist
For each wish the App stores its title, note and link, the category and priority you pick, whether it is still wished for or already granted, and when it was added, changed and granted.
- Only the partner you are linked with can see your wishlist in the App. If you create a share link, anyone who has that link can also see your active wishes on a web page (section 9). When your partner taps "Find it" or "Buy it" on one of your wishes, that wish's title or link goes to the store, as described in section 8. If you unlink, your wishes stay in your account and your former partner can no longer see them. If you later link with someone new, your active wishes move to the new pair, and wishes granted earlier stay visible only to you.
- When you mark a wish as granted ("Got it"), its title is also added to Our story, the history you share with your partner.
- "I'm on it" marks are private. When you mark one of your partner's wishes, the mark is stored in your own account and only you can see it. Your partner never sees it and gets no notification about it.
4. What we do NOT collect
No email, no phone number, no contacts, no precise location, no photos and no browsing history. Your profile photo stays on your device and is never uploaded. We do not sell personal data.
5. How your data is shared
Your name, theme, moods, replies and wishlist are visible only to the one partner you link with using an invite code; your "I'm on it" marks are visible only to you. If you create a wishlist share link, anyone who has the link can see your display name and active wishes (section 9). Data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and protected by security rules, so only the two members of a pair can read what they share. Notifications, which can include your name and the text of a mood, reply or wish, are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone and iPad, Apple's push service. We never share your name, moods or replies with advertisers, and a wish reaches a store only as the title or link your partner opens with "Find it" or "Buy it" (section 8).
6. Advertising
The App shows one sponsored card on Home and one in your partner's wishlist, served by Google AdMob. There are no full-screen ads. Each card is matched to a few keywords from our own catalog, chosen by the kind of mood or wish (for example "flowers" for "Want flowers"); the text of your moods and wishes is never sent to AdMob. AdMob receives basic device information, such as the IP address, and may process a device advertising identifier, as described in Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). On iOS the App asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency); if you decline, ads still work but are less personalized. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App first shows a consent message from Google's consent tool (User Messaging Platform). Ads are personalized or measured only as you choose there, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
7. Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn which features are used, so we can improve the App. It records events such as "a wish was added", "a reply was sent" or "a store was picked in Find it", with simple details like a category or a store name, plus app opens, sessions and basic device information (device model, system version, language, app version and an approximate region derived from the IP address). Events never contain the text of your moods, wishes, notes, links or replies, your names, your account or pair identifiers, or your invite code. Analytics does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and is not tied to your account: it counts installations of the App through a random installation identifier and Apple's identifier for vendors (IDFV). On Android, Analytics does not use the advertising ID either and counts installations through a random app instance ID. Its data is not used to personalize ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App turns on analytics storage only if you agree in the consent message described in section 6; elsewhere Analytics works as described here.
8. Shopping links
On your partner's wishes, "Buy it" opens the link your partner saved, and "Find it" opens a search on Etsy or Walmart with the wish's title as the search text. Links open outside the App, in your browser or the store's own app. A link may pass through Sovrn Commerce, an affiliate network, and we may earn a commission when you buy something. The store, and Sovrn when the link passes through it, receive the link or the search text along with what any website receives from your browser, such as your IP address and device type, and handle it under their own privacy policies (Sovrn: sovrn.com/legal/privacy-policy). We never add your name, account or pair identifier, or any other personal information to these links.
9. Sharing your wishlist with a link
You can create a web link to your wishlist and send it to anyone, for example a friend. Whoever opens the link sees a page with your display name and your active wishes: each wish's title, category, priority and shopping link. Notes on your wishes and wishes already granted are never shown on that page. The link contains a long random code and nothing about your identity. Anyone who has the link can open the page and pass the link on, so share it only with people you trust. The page is served from our server, which receives what any website receives from a visitor's browser, such as the IP address and device type, and we count how many times your page was opened. We do not run analytics or advertising scripts on that page. You can turn the link off at any time in Settings: the old link stops working, and sharing again creates a new one. Deleting your account also deletes the link.
10. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Unlinking a partner deactivates the shared moods and dissolves the pair; your wishlist stays with you. After an unlink, the moods and replies of that pair stay stored, visible to neither of you, until the account that set each mood is deleted. You can delete your account and all your server data yourself at any time: Settings → Delete my account & data. This removes your profile, your pair, the moods you set, your wishlist, your private "I'm on it" marks, your wishlist share link and the counter that groups your wish notifications, and ends the anonymous session. Replies you wrote on your partner's moods are stored inside those moods and are deleted with your partner's account. Analytics events are not linked to your account (section 7), so they are not part of this deletion. You can also ask us to delete your data by contacting us.
11. Age requirement
The App is rated 17+ and is not directed at children. Do not use the App if you are under 17.
12. Your rights in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
PRIMAIRE LLC is the controller of your data and can be reached at info@primaire.us. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, this also applies:
- Legal bases. We handle your account, name, theme, moods, replies, wishlist, pairing, share link and push notifications to provide the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Ad personalization and measurement through AdMob, and analytics storage, rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy choices; this does not affect what was processed before. We rely on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) to keep the App secure, prevent abuse and diagnose crashes.
- Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can erase it yourself in the App (section 10) or at primaire.us/ikwyw/delete-account.html. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, for example Italy's Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. Email us with any request; we answer within one month.
- Transfers. Your data is processed in the United States by Google (Firebase and AdMob) as our service provider. These transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses, and on their UK and Swiss equivalents.
